Pickleball is coming to Ultimo!
RALLY4EVER is expanding to the Ultimo Community Center through a new partnership agreement that will bring pickleball to the community. The free one-hour pickleball sessions will begin on the 1st May 2025 from 11:30am to 12:30pm and continue weekly on Thursdays at the same time. Trained coaches and equipment such as paddles and balls will be provided by RALLY4EVER. The sessions are accessible to all residents regardless of skill level as the partnership aims to bring both physical activity and community bonding. After the sessions, a thirty minute social gathering of coffee and tea will be available for residents to build connections and form relationships.
In addition to access to physical activity, the program will foster the City of Sydney’s free shuttle bus service to ensure participation is available to all members of the community. The full Village to Village shuttle schedule can be found here: https://accesssydney.org.au/our-services/free-shuttle-services/. Accessible transportation will play a central role in strengthening connection among residents. The initiative will also be aligned with The Uniting Harris Community Centre’s food pantry, which will bring food to players. This will increase opportunities for both exercise and access to low-cost groceries.
The partnership between RALLY4EVER and Ultimo Community Center aims to promote connection through pickleball, focussing on physical and mental wellbeing. Better accessibility to exercise and socialisation increases participation and breaks down barriers such as cost, transportation, and skill level. The services of this partnership will also increase the community’s knowledge of other services in Ultimo such as low-cost food pantries, libraries, and counseling services, to name a few.
Registration is appreciated but not required. To register, contact RALLY4EVER by email hello@rally4ever.org or text 0408 232 248. RALLY4EVER looks forward to seeing you on the Ultimo courts as we share this wonderful partnership with the community.
